That is an awesome vid. I love how mike looked back. He destroyed them four strokes off the start.

Oldest trick in the book. Line up next to the doghouse (also the lowest sitting gate there), line up a foot or two further back then the rest of the line, watch the person inside the doghouse (which is pretty easy to do at this track) and drop the hammer when the lever is kicked. Is it cheating? not if you don’t get caught I suppose. Mike is obvoulsy a crafty starter and a hell of a rider. I’m just saying he wouldn’t be able to use that same approach at a National.
